Situated in 'OBZ' (Observatory) the bohemian student neighborhood of Cape Town, 33 South is in the center of everything hot and happening! Jam-packed with quaint bars, vibey restaurants of all sizes, atmospheres and flavors, live music venues, pool bars and so much more; as well as a stones throw from the train line, Obz really is the place to be. 33 South is in a quiet street, about a 30 second walk away from all the hustle and bustle of the lower main road. 33 South is a 'BOUTIQUE BACKPACKERS' - a place where independent travelers can live in a backpacker-style accommodation, while still enjoying the luxuries of a boutique hotel or guesthouse. Breakfast included? Yes. Hotel quality percale linen? Definitely. Attentive and knowledgeable staff? 'Fo Sho!' We even have Elvis working here. With each room themed after a neighborhood in Cape Town, you really don't need to travel far to get a taste of Cape Town and it's rich cultural diversity. However, should you decide (and we certainly recommend it!) to spend your days out and about, our travel center can supply you with a wealth of knowledge - from overland trips, to local road trips, to where the best surf is, to VIP and free entrance to clubs and even underground trance parties! Recycling 2.) A Worm Farm, where all our compost is digested into useable fertilizer by worms 3.) Solar powere showers, and timers to save electricity 4.) We use only energy-saving lightbulbs 5.)
